What a wonderful and joyful encounter to celebrate the New Hebrew Year 5780.  The sundown of September 29^th, 2019 marks the beginning of a new decade (5780-5789).  I am thankful to the Holy One of Israel to partake of the fulfilment of His unfailing promises in the AYIN decade 5770 -5779).  Ayin – “eye” or “fountain”.  This new decade is symbolised by “PEY” – “mouth”.

In the last decade, so many people have gone through diverse experiences and were affected for good or bad, but the Eye of the LORD watched over.  Now, the LORD will give His people the mouth of praise.

In the conquest of the Promised Land, Joshua and the people of Israel saw the wall of Jericho as a major hindrance in advancing to the Promised Land.  However, God gave them the matching order, “Now Joshua had commanded the people, saying, “You shall not shout or make any noise with your voice, nor shall a word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I say to you, ‘Shout!’ Then you shall shout””, (Jos. 6:10).  What was impossible to conquer; the LORD gave them a voice and the shout of victory pull down the wall.  “And the seventh time it happened, when the priests blew the trumpets that Joshua said to the people: “Shout, for the Lord has given you the city!””(Jos. 6:16).

“I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once”, (Isa. 42:14 (KJV)).  In this decade of “PEY”, victory shout shall spring forth and blockages to possessing our glorious inheritance shall be rooted out.

Hannah’s womb was shut and she was relentlessly provoked to the point that she saw herself as “a woman of a sorrowful spirit”, (I Sam. 1:15).  The reproach and her deep anguish made her cry unto the LORD, with utterances too deep to express, that “only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard”, (v13).  However, when God granted her request, she said:  “Then Hannah prayed: “My heart rejoices in the Lord! The Lord has made me strong. Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me””, (I Sam. 2:1 (NLT)). 

The woman who was ridiculed and had no voice to resist mockery, now had an answer for her adversaries – she gained back her voice.  In this decade “PEY” – those who have seen affliction, yet holding on to God should be prepared to shout for joy and regain their voice of destiny.

“PEY” – mouth, for vocalization, speech and breath.  Mouth receives food.  It produces saliva.  It is the beginning of the digestive system.  Therefore, the decade of “PEY” is the time to “receive”, “produce” and “begin” as God supplies the strength to prosper.

Year 5780 and its prophetic symbols:

5 – Hei – (the fifth letter) – window.  In this New Year, there shall be opening in the wall, opening in the roof – arising beyond limitation.  As window admits light, the Light of God shall illuminate our heart unto repentance.  Window permits passage of air and sound.  So shall the Wind of the LORD blow away every pollution that has defiled us and the sound of joy shall break forth.

7 – Zayin – (the seventh letter) – a symbol for sword and sceptre.  Our rod of authority shall rise like a sword to judge the wicked.

8 – Chet – (the eighth letter) – doorway – an entrance leading to multiple doors.

0 – That which is hidden, unknown and uncertain.  However, when “0” is placed behind another number, it elevates the quantity.

I deeply rejoice with those who put their trust in the covenant of the Most High God of Abrahram, Isaac and Jacob, because the Year 5780 unfolds deep joy and victory.

As the Year is also a symbol of mouth, watch out for deliverance of those who are already prey in the mouth of the wicked.  “But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it. Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.” Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!”” (I Sam. 17:34-37).

Prophetic Watch

• The Fire of Divine presence shall purge our heart and tongue, to decree with empowered mouth, “Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged.””  (Isa. 6:6-7)
• “Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.”  (Psa. 8:2)
• “I opened my mouth, and drew the spirit (and drew my breath, yea, I panted); for I desired thy commandments.”  (Psa. 119:131 (WYC))
• “He will yet fill your mouth with laughing, And your lips with rejoicing.”  (Job 8:21)
• “Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”  (Psa. 103:5)
• “Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.””  (Psa. 126:2)
